Soft Darkness

Soft Darkness

A Poem by Soren

The dust of age lays on our souls

a crumbling page, dying coals

An ashened ember glows and dies

an image remembered in our eyes

Death holds these qualities. I'm reminded of my father's last breath. The last spark of warmth in his hand that I held. It is a memory that will always stay with me. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
