Chaos in a Rainy Night

Chaos in a Rainy Night

A Poem by sorellaflowers

Lightning flashes in the sky,
rain pelting my pale body,
washing away the blood,
wind pushing against me,
caresing my hair.
Thunder drowns out my screams,
waves slaming into me,
tears that I can't seem to stop cascade down my face,
voices scream in my head,
DIE,
DIE,
DIE,
louder,
and louder.
Rocks thrown at my body as they all laugh,
houses burning down in the distance,
smoke floating to the sky,
cries of children,
chaos all around,
familys being torn apart,
blown up,
gun shots everywere,
sounding closer,
sharp pain peircing my chest,
darkness clouds my vision,
chaos still ringing in my ears,
waves carry my away.
Finally.
Finally.
My suffering is over.

Wow very angst and raw, but it is poetic and has meaning... :)

I enjoyed the power of this piece. It engenders the image of perhaps something in war time or the end of days. Or what it may be like to be caught up in a tornado. There was indeed a certain sense of despair at the same time release.
