A Poem by Sophy Freebirds
"

Swallowed into darkness of cosmos

"
~Mirrored in

Distant whispers slowly etching their way
Eyes drink in monstrosity of evil days..
A blink, pauses the beat of life
Standing still in silence of universe...

I watch hearts silently bleeding
Warriors turning to masked wolves,
Clothing the sands red with hatred
I blink, swallowed by mirror of wisdom...

Paused beat springs up to its demise
Hands of clock ebb away into infinity
My shadows weave into a tapestry
Of darkness, shaming Erebus's gloom...

I watch,my words silently weep
Waiting for night to melt me into deep...

such passion .. i like what you do with time and beats and universe ... in the blink of an eye .. the news is not so good these days is it!? to connect our weeping with something much deeper gives some solace but its the children that seem to be unsettlingly blind .. deep and emotive expression Ms Freebirds ..

the way the world is going today...these are words with powerful emotions for us poets.

it feels that our words are being ignored...and people just keep hating each other and killing each other...

and our words weep into the whole tapestry of things, and then blend in and go unnoticed.
