Cerebral collision

Cerebral collision

A Poem by Sophy Freebirds
"

When freaky thoughts hug my cerebrum

"
Scrubbing the walls of,
My cerebrum shiny clean.
Thoughts forever cling
To my stubborn skin.

Patches of migraine
Always linger.
Vibrating the panes,
With a loud whimper.

Bucket of ideas splash,
On the pale floor.
I sit mopping them
In a straight row.

"mopping them in a straight row" until they almost make a poem and almost make sense.

getting those ideas off the walls of our brain...it does often feel like writing is just that...
but that splash feels good when the poems work.

this is such a cool piece, Sophy.

Mopped up cleanly in the gyri!

The play of words migraine and vibrating panes was neat.

Sometimes we can overload and become incoherent, such is the misgivings of a creative mind, so best to take time out and get ideas into words on paper !

Cognitive indeed Sophy and penned in alluring style as ever !!

Sophy, This is a fun one! I get all sorts of images here. I like the idea of scrubbing the mind clean, though I don't think I could ever succeed in the task... too many bats in the belfry. The last stanza though, sticks with me...

"Bucket of ideas splash,
On the pale floor.
I sit mopping them
In a straight row.

We get all these great ideas, but they are often difficult to do much with unless we can order our them... mop them into straight lines. The power of a truly well ordered mind would be a sight to see! Wonderful job!
