Skeletons of decapacitated emotions,
Dry bones of wrong notions....
Eaten by worms of paranoid senses.
Everything seems blue to my lenses.

Wind howls in this funeral of love.
Come,join me in this unholy cove.

Where trust is buried
In screams of pain....
Here solely
Vengeance reigns...

Turning soulless under the crimson fire,
I pluck strings of your treacherous lyre.
Vowing to feed on your ache.
Till my gnawing hunger sates.

Sniff the blood in air,
Your time is near......

decapacitate !! thank you for my new word!! its a keeper ... well suited for that very powerful first line ... gives me the idea of skeletons in the closet ... deep pain having been betrayed in love ... we numb those feelings ... try to reduce them but they always peek through ... this person not only allows those feeling but sets them on fire ... remind me please never to cross her ;) a dark emotive poem that begs vengeance ... eeeeeyow!

Theres something about this that turns my stomach but in the same way that the stomach gets turned when we whooosh from the top of the roller coaster to the bottom in an almost freefall drop - thrillingly.
The images are stark - a charnel house and a feaster of souls and emotions - almost apocalyptic - the end for someone.
I think I'll read another...
