~Her Masked Desire...

Drowning in her hunger

The ghost town rising from the dust,
As she stalks through the dark streets,
Holding herself tighter,
Aiming her gaze lower...
Under the lustful glances of vulgar.

Tired of being unblemished..
She wished to be ravished..
Finding him - an oasis in the desert.
She throws away all her comfort!!

Taken by her carnal desire...
She soothes her salacious fire..
Drugged in his evil gaze..
She swims in the mirage..

Shattered is her haven in a second..
When he squeezes her thumping heart in his brutal hands...

Draining her of life's unfeeling emotions..
Realizing her own self deprivation..

Imbued with seething rage..
Mourning,igniting the frigid flame..
In her own wanton hunger caged..

Eager to be unravelled as a bottle of champagne ..
She is sloshed and drained in her own terrain..
Exploited and smashed in the dumped trash...

Now in the streets of sloe- eyed beauties...
She does her whorish nightly duties...

I wanted to write something haunting.. here is a poem based oñ a girl who followed her wanton desires unaware of the impending doom... hope you will like it..

This is definitely one of your darker pieces my dear, but it showcases how versatile you are in your writing and it was very well done. Plus I love reading dark stuff (probably not shocking to hear). It is tragic that she starts out innocent and gets eaten away by her own desires and eventually spirited away by what I assume is a pimp.

You certainly succeeded in the haunting category my friend...the way you carry the piece from curiosity to submission to regret is seamless and keeps the reader guessing as to how it will end until he arrives at unhappily-ever-after...in that regard, this is as sad as it is haunting...I think we all wish to experience those blemishes from time to time, yet we must tread carefully or run the risk of this character's fate...'Shattered is her heaven in a second'...that felt like the true turning point of the piece, when the darkness takes over...a truly moving and powerful poem...well done Sophy :)
