Falling

Falling

A Poem by Petrichor

Imagine a star,
 falling from the heavens.
Tumbling down towards the Earth.
It knows of Earth's blemishes.
Yet it is doing nothing to stop falling.

I am the star and you are my Earth.
I'm falling for you and all of your flaws.
Your askew smile and your messy hair.
You are a piece of art
that I never want to loose.

Being with you
makes my light shine so bright.
I'm falling ever so hard,
and it's in love with you.

Why do I matter?
I'm one star.
One out of an infinite number.
Why should you fall for me?
I doubt that you would.

But if you are to fall for this one star,
know that I'll be here.
Waiting for you to catch me.
