---'s POVA Chapter by ♢Sophia♢
Patience comes easily. The kids headed inside and spent the rest of the day there. One of them dropped a notebook. He'll come back for it.
But for now, I'll wait. Nine kids trying to figure out who I am, and two chaperones. One to distraught to care, and the other more alert than ever. She knows and has a plan. Of course she does, she was always keeping an eye on me since my time in that place. I'll deal with her later, but now I will focus on the boy walking outside to retrieve his missing item. He chuckles to himself as he picks up the notebook. Before he can walk away, I throw a rock at his feet, making him trip and fall. He drops the notebook but thankfully doesn't scream. I run to him, hauling him up and putting a hand on his mouth to muffle his protests. His eyes widen in fear and recognition as I pull a match from my pocket and scratch it on a nearby log. The match head catches fire and I throw it in the campfire logs. The boy starts to kick his legs and move his head around. How annoying, I think as I pull out a knife and quickly drag it along the boy's throat. He goes limp in my arms and doesn't protest as I toss him in the fire. The blood dripping from his throat sinks into the logs, and I walk toward the notebook on the floor. I pick it up, examine it, then throw it into the fire. The paper crumbles, making the flames grow higher. I smile and turn back to the cabin. © 2024 ♢Sophia♢ |
