What Do You See?

What Do You See?

A Poem by Sophia V

Eyes opened or closed,
I see things I wish I didn't.
Like blood pouring from my veins, filling up the empty room.
Screaming and crying facial expressions, but no noise. then I blink.
Do other people see these things too?
Themselves getting hit by cars, or raped in parking lots?
I wonder.
On a good day I can blink or cry the pictures from my eyes.
Others, I find them encrypted into my vision.
Blood- everywhere. Knife- in my hand.
Do you see them too?

Yes, some pretty awful things do happen every day. We all should care. We can't shut our eyes and ignore them and hope that they go away. Disturbing ending. You obviously care and it is called compassion. A very clever and creative write. Nice job.
