Technology TakeoverA Poem by Sophia VSometimes I feel that soon our faces will become expressionless Our eyes vision-less Our minds decision-less Because of the tiny glowing monster that has created this. I'm hypocritical if I tell you to stop but so is society, We bank on variety, Not even considering sobriety, We're sick Taken over by this electronic device, And yet here I am typing out words with two thumbs and a willing sacrifice. My unique perspective is lost in the blur of others sharing theirs in a never-ending feed, Dreams created and suddenly sedated in a matter of seconds. Everything happening so quick. All I wanted was a pic. No one ever asked bout my s**t! What happened to that human contact and calm conversation us human beings crave? Those slow motion moments you just can't save? I'm not asking for all the phones to go away. Just for us all to take a second and look away. © 2016 Sophia VFeatured Review
