The Promised LandA Poem by Theo RojasThe promised land
Rising up from the dirt, i step foot on this promised land
after being molded gently like clay by the glorious hand i roam around the sphere where my life was trapped into horde of doubts came rushing to my mind eliminating my virtues. This vigorous facade of human anatomy has its own down fall, every vain & gut can easily be cut and every joint is breakable, perfection is nothing but a word that can never be reached, the only perfect is its own definition that can never be breached. So i go along as i stroll around and observe this planet's behavior, cause & effect rule is always present and being applied with rigor this planet suffers greatly from all human vices and selfishness great damage has been done, once a promised land, now a curse the church claims superiority easy like stealing candy from a baby angelic voices starts to speak deep as the devils plan protrudes slowly this planet is full of mysteries, questions with no answers and answers with no support this could be the 10th circle of hell where you can find crimes of all sorts as time passes by, my knees grows weak my heart pumps blood slowly losing oxygen in my brain giving me a hard time to move swiftly memories slowly erased and my behavior starts to change my sight darkens, my senses fades my breathing gets strange alas, my time is running out, as the air in my lungs grows thin it was a priceless experience, one topsy-turvy ride it has been while waiting for my time to pass, another clay is being molded by the hand now i lay down deep in this dirt again, being a part of this so called "the promised land" © 2013 Theo RojasAuthor's Note
