Closing ChaptersA Poem by sonnie ibadah
There was a time when my father was my king,
tall, mighty and strong, in my meek eyes, he was that man riding by on a big stallion, ready to sweep me from any kind of danger. In countless battles, he’d fight one against millions, yet nothing would go wrong. Nothing ever went wrong. Because he was a hero. Because he was my hero. But all that now is nothing but a fading dream, the one I’m not even sure I had. Nothing but a torn chapter, to a story so sad. There was a time when my mother was my guardian angel, the one that caught me before I fell, the one to whom my worst fears I’d tell. A beautiful melody to a lullaby so sweet and calm, magically finding solace in her arms. She was that person whose smile was always bright, and whose opinions were always right. Because she was an angel. Because she was my angel. But all that nothing but a foggy memory, the one I’m not sure I even had. Nothing but a wishful thinking, In a world so bad. © 2015 sonnie ibadahAuthor's Note
