The Great Valley of TortureA Poem by Sonifesometimes we are torn between two choices: to move on and face the hurdles along, or to live with the pain of the past...The wind, so almighty, dancing with the deserted sky
Towards the meadow of lilies and green grasses Butterflies, poppy fields, crested upon the endless land It's the memories withhold, in the great valley of torture There, she stands, Maria, the tortured one Whispering melodies for a requiem, with her heart looking back Trapped in a shielded crypt, hoping for the impossible dream And beneath her wings of gold lays the chain of rust In the distant flight of the unseen light It became her everlasting refuge Her endless soliloquy no more distant And tears frozen in the undying pain ...there she lies dreamless, in the Great Valley of Torture... © 2011 SonifeAuthor's Note
