A Song for Mother Earth

A Song for Mother Earth

A Poem by Sonife
"

Once upon a time we made a promise for Mother Earth that we'll take care of her, but this was taken for granted, so i hope we will learn our lessons from it!

"

Hearing the birds singing a sweet melody

Makes you feel pleased of a charming ecstasy

Seeing the trees dancing gracefully

Makes you feel amazed of a unique harmony

You became glad by the time you felt

That nature is a gleaming silhouette

You became fulfilled by the time you said…

“I love this nature, I’ll always protect.”

But as time passes by

The promise you made was taken for granted

The pledge that made Mother Nature proud

Is indeed the promise that made her suffer

The trees, the birds and the bright sky

Died, vanished and darkness covered up

The world of joy

Became the world of sorrow

When you hear the bird’s sweet melodies no more

Made you feel miserable and appalling

Seeing the trees that doesn’t dance anymore

Made you feel anguish of the repulsive vista

For the unique and wonderful harmony

Has finally made into an bizarre clamor

Yet hope has not departed

For still faith has not been vanished

For God so loved the world that made Mother Earth sing

A song of sympathy, love and trust

And everyday she wishes…

That the man who made the promise

Will again be truthful in his word of deed

Mother Earth, Mother Earth

Someday you’ll be blissful again

If only unity and love

Will recover against from that dark destiny

I don't mind the structure at all. I really like this poem actually. The only problems I have found with it are grammar kind of problems, such as the line: "That the man whom made the promise". The pronoun "whom" should be "who" as it is the subject, not the direct/indirect object or object of a prepositional phrase. However, these things are few and very minor and don't detract from the poem's brilliance and meaning. Funny how I appreciate nature more when I'm smoking some a cigarette or some green. I try not to pollute with the ashes though :P
