I Will Go OnA Poem by Sonife
Lost among a field of dandelions
That surround a path which led to eons And here I stand with solitude and firmness This journey I trek in the earth's vastness Each step marks to a ground, soft and trapping Leaving behind trailes which took much lifting To have freedom for my tracks and again Walk this path journeyed by men Unbeknownst to some, however This bleak in the mind I carry further The ore to which my lightless chronicle leads Has gotten me torned, exhausted, I bleed Marching on, further I get in time Making a retreat unattainable, no more mine For this pavement which I choose to walk tonight Has frozen the walls, no stars visible, no light My knees trembling, my heart pounding, my spirit wondering The war of regret and choices now upheaving But I look back to that moment of predicaments Where an array of mist behind gates I have chosen this moment I will go on. © 2014 Sonife |
