MY JOURNEY BACK

I opened my eyes,
Nothing but darkness in sight,
Lost and confused,
A chilly feeling moved through my body,
And hope was nowhere to be found,
It seemed like a joke,
Slowly slipping away,
Until I was completely beguiled,
And too far away to reflect back,
To what was,between YOU and me,
At quite a young age,
I came across your path,
And at the utter of a few simple words,
Became your friend and child,
And together we journeyed happily,
Until,
I caught a glimpse,
Of something else,
A scent,
Of something putrid,
Yet alluring in an evil manner,
And just like that,
I drifted from you gradually,
We talked less,
We played less,
And I didn't hear your
Soft whispering anymore,
Too enveloped by my addictions,
Blinded by false love,
Carried away by a mirage,
The chrysalis was broken,
And the result,
A vulnerable,depressed me,
I'd gotten tired of it all,
Tired of living a life,
That wasn't even mine,
Tired of abusing,
The free gift of freedom,
You gave me,
On a platter of gold,
And in my lassitude,
I cried out to YOU,
For your beautiful mercy,
I cried out to YOU,
For that Love once again,
I cried out to YOU,
In my weakness,
To Save me,
Out of the darkness I'm in,
I can't see,I can't hear and I can't feel,
I'm just a lost child who needs a Father,
I looked down in shame and regret,
And a gentle,soft hand,
Lovingly wiped my tears away,
Reminding me of the
Price He paid,
Just to give me a beautiful life,
You created a clear lit up path,
And showed me the way back,
And all at once my heart,
Was comforted,
And that peaceful peace,
That nowhere else will I find,
Came over me,
I knew that this was IT.

I understand I've been there. I am on a new journey now and am finding beautiful things on the path that God leads me. I had my experience but I wasn't living up to part. Now I am because I made up my mind that his way is the best way. So keep fighting my dear. Your writing reflects what God gives you and that is a beautiful gift one could have.

I'm not a writer,I dunno know how to use the best words to review this writing..but I can say this, I can feel passion in this,I truly understand this (to the best my mind can), I touches me deeply and reminds me of my decision to seek Christ..these words are not only beautiful to my eyes and mind,but soothing to parts of me I can't even point out..my soul is thankful ..btw forgive my amatuerism in this review ..hehe big ups!
