My passion is my poison

My passion is my poison

A Poem by Sonia Stokes
"

I just started writing, and then it turned into a story. I kind of like this one, but just so everyone knows it is completely fictional. =]

"

You are why I breathe,

Or so it seems.

You are what takes my breath...

while I am on my knees,

screaming and begging please,

You hurt me in ways I can't understand,

and yet that is why I want to hold your hand.

Yes it is the hand that beats me,

and still not the hand that feeds me,

but it is the hand that I love.

And although I know you can't ever be true

I can never leave you.

Because you are the person of which I am drawn,

even though you seem to always be gone.

I know that with out you I can't live,

critisism is all my family will give.

They think I need them to interfere,

but it is not you I really fear.

I left that man long ago,

after he was done watching me grow.

It is discusting that I had to call him "dad",

but only I know that he was really bad.

Not only my innoscence did he take,

but my brothers' life was at stake.

because he came in early one evening

seems like the worst, but that was the beginning.

I was scared and so was he,

then his life was the ultimate fee.

And now I look into your eyes and I feel protected.

and I know my kids will never be molested.

Sure sometimes you might be violent,

I know that's only a cherade of a tyrant.

I love you and I can't ever let you go,

please just don't hurt my new embryo.
