Travelled AgainA Poem by SongsungblueThis is from an early collection of works, 1989-1999. This poem is from the first book of 3, entitled "Conception"Travelled again -
half-awake in my head my hand is sleeping and a gargly-voiced man sings a three-string two-time jive outside the dirty window of my yellow-walled hotel.
Landing again in a town I no longer know. Perhaps it will grow on me.
My hair, bleached white begins to fall (fortunately I no longer wear strickly black).
Blue, these veins along my arm mystical and Opium Charmed to meet my sweet complete under my skin within without you.
I reach out to touch you in my waking dream but instead I feel a

and

stop.
Now in a drunken sailor sway nodding heavy off and on I open my eyes to see The Question.
Naturally being Unanswerable.
I close my eyes again to see you lean on the frame of my reference.
You always left the door ajar.
