A Desert Sky over Ballinasloe

A Desert Sky over Ballinasloe

A Poem by Songsungblue
"

Part 1 of 2

"

I saw a desert sky

over Ballinasloe.

A sunset in blood orange

and then blinding, blazing silver to

gold to copper and then bronze

in

a sea of misled blue.

"A mad wash of light", she said

behind me

over the buzz of voices debating

the cost and value of things

that Do Not Matter.

And we watch as

the sky beside us

burns to night.

very enjoyable read. i love the strong emphasis on the visuals, yet there is also a strong introspective look to it. kudos.
