LaceA Poem by marieYou can’t see me,I’m not here No matter what you think, No, I’m not near. Look at my smile! Gaze on my face! Ignore white lines, that cover like Lace. Forget the dark shadows that cover my past, All those insults like a net cast. Brush away those side glances The world’s full of forever chances Little red tendrils on porcelain skin, Wipe them away, look I smile again! Ignore distant thoughts, I promise I’m fine. No, little whispers don’t cross a thin line. Such a fine gift to be covered in Lace Take a bow, spin around, face the world with grace. Don’t you worry, I’m not here. You need not see, that Lace you fear. © 2015 marieAuthor's Note
