a new layer of paint

a new layer of paint

A Poem by marie

tick tock goes the clock
in the silence of the room
don't you worry i'll be done painting soon
milky white eyes
now see my disguise
as i toss the paint across the sill
my inane laughter they've had their fill
before the dawn
they know i'll be gone
new red walls displayed
the only proof that i have played
milky white eyes see my mind has now frayed
