Nothing SpecialA Story by SongTo spend one more day with youOne more day One more time One more sunset Maybe I'd be satisfied But then again I know what it would do Leave me wishing still For one more day with you
I sit here and think about having spent the rest of my life with you guys. I know, it's not the end of the world if I don't see you again. I know it won't be the end of the world if it's just a couple of months spent not hanging out with you, or spending my time laughing in the room with you. I know I will see all of you again, but just one more day would've been nice.
But I know, after that day I would never want to leave. Hell, I didn't want to leave anyways. If I could then I would spend every single day of my life with you just because. Growning up without cousins, I had wished to grow old with you guys---I guess fate had other plans, huh?
If I had one more day with you, I wouldn't change our normal routine. I'd like it to be a Saturday---so we could all wake up at 6:15 in the morning and help Grandma set up at the Flea Market. Then somehow, I'd convince you guys to stay with me and her all day. You know, like the last time. After that, we'd go to her house and sit in Akira's room, waiting for his oh so slow internet to load---of course we would be checking for the time our movie is suppose to play. And when we get the time for the late show, waiting for it would be fun. It would be like the normal days, when we sat in the room and talked, played cards, used the internet....or we'd go outside and act like little kids playing tag, or dodgeball, or soccer, or our favorite. Volleyball. (Note the sarcasm) Then when it was time to go for the movie, we'd cram into Shadow's five person car, which meant someone had to sit in the trunk. The person was usually Dyllon, and I get stuck in the middle of Akira and Keej.
After the movie we'd head to Dyllon's house---you guys would be playing Modern Warefare 2 in his room, and I'd be watching half-heartedly, the boring game lulling me to sleep. After I wake up from the nap, I realise the time. It's now 6 and I'm nagging you guys to leave the house so we could go get dinner. Of course, there are no adults to cook for us. Who knows where they are? So one of you turns the game, T.V, and computer off before we all cram into the care again---heading to Wing Stop.
It would be only my second time there, and we order the full 100 peice of Chicken Wings of all the flavors. I help pay, and we sit down at the table we got when we came together for the first time. When the delicious chicken wings get there we dig in, our hands easily getting greasy and saucy---the napkins aren't enough to clean our faces so we just leave it alone. This would be the second time we tried the Atomic wings, and you guys don't cry like last time. We're all stronger now. We slurp up our drinks before getting refills, and when we finish the meal, all of us head into the bathroom to wash our cheeks and hands.
After Wing Stop we'd go and get gas for the car, then drive to Shadow's house. He needs to take care of the dogs bathroom break. It's not 8 o'clock and time to rest. So after finishing up with the dogs, we head back over to Dyllon's house. Finding ourselves just sitting in his room again, I suggest we go to the park. We're there for only awhile, until the sun is fully gone. After that all six of us walk back to Dyllon's house and take our turns showering. After that we settle in his room once more playing games and talking until each of us fall asleep.
That'd be the perfect day spent with you. Nothing special, just the normal routine---just one more day with you. © 2010 SongAuthor's Note
