So Different It Hurts

People...don't know me. But they think they do...and so I'll prove them wrong.

I sit here and tear up

My voice shakes

My vision blurs

And because of what?

 

'Cause of how I am so different

I'm just one tomboy

Out of a group of

Make up loving

Skirt wearing

Boy crazed

Girly girls

 

And I don't know what to do

Because even when I'm talking to you

I don't feel like myself

You say that you like me the way I am

But there you are

Wanting and wishing to be with them

Like those girls that I'm not

 

And so I cry

I cry and cry

Because there's no one

No one left to talk to

 

But I'm wrong again

Because you two are there

Standing and waiting for me

Like you have always had been

We've always been there for eachother

 

So I talk

And talk

And talk to you

Until I can no longer talk anymore

 

Its' then I realise

That my tears were gone

And a smile grew
