LAFS (love at first sight)

All you did was look at me and smiled,

and I instantly knew I was in love.

I never truly believed in love at first sight

it was always something you would only see in movies,

but you proved me wrong.

Our hearts instantaneously connected

and our souls knew we had met before.

Maybe we were lovers in another life

or maybe our particles got separated

when the universe formed

and the Earth got created.

All I know is that when you first landed your eyes on me

I felt something I had never felt before.

It was like the spark a match makes when you drag it against the striker,

like the sound of a newborn baby,  so beautiful and intense.

You ignited something in me

And I can't describe the way you make me feel.

All I know is that I've been searching for you my whole life

without knowing that I've been missing you

all this time.
