Temptation

Temptation

A Poem by Njeanett

How did I come to this,

When did I let this be,

I Let myself be taken away by temptation

The thought of you floods through me

My emotions are high,

At what cost,

Can’t you see that I sacrifice more than you

Just a little bit of you is all I am asking for

Enough to keep me holding on

Enough to quench my thirst

Just the sight of you keeps me going

I shouldn’t be feeling like this

I can’t be feeling this way

You don’t help

You make it hard to say No

You pull me in closer and kiss me like that

Temptation always knows the right words to say

I won’t lie

I love that you have this power  over me

I love the way that you look at me

It turns me on

With you I forget my morals

With you I forget my responsibilities

With you I get lost

Damn temptation

I'm falling so deep into you

It's a hard struggle against the intoxicating temptation. You see the hurdle in front of you and you just don't care to jump. Nice description here of what that feels like. Nice write.
