Ode to Martyrs

Ode to Martyrs

A Poem by Someguy
"

A poem about martyrdom, its my first poem in a while, so go easy on me

"

So many have lived and all have died
Some of them tortured and burned alive
Some of them shot don in cold blood
Thrown in graves to rot in cold mud

A few were thrown in with their hearts still beating,
their lung still breathing their eyes still seeing, yet they all would
Live the same way if they could, even as the children cry
As their parents die, and they never see them again

So with a grim farewell they left the earth
That detested them since the day of their rebirth
As they love their God, save the lost
Do his will, no matter the cost
