That Mask

That Mask

A Poem by Victoria W.
"

Facades are not my cup of tea.

"
You are so very kind until it occurs
That somebody disagrees with
The way that you see things,
The way that you think.
I am beginning
To see that
Maybe..

You are not very kind at all.
But rather, you pretend
And you wear a mask.
And that mask
Has slowly
Slipped
off..

No masks can stand the heat of the Sun, sheltered and safe until exposed and melted.

I strongly agree. Nothing can hide in the light.
I really like this one. I have known many with the same mask, and probably worn my own.
