My Auntie (The Butterfly)

My Auntie (The Butterfly)

A Poem by Billie Atterberry
"

A poem I wrote after losing my aunt back in 09

"

The flicker of a wing

The flicker of a soul

She carry's the love

As she fly's home

Free from the pain

Free from it all

As she fly's so high

To her lords call

Her smile and her voice

Will stay in our hearts

As the love we shared

Will never part

She will be the butterfly

That you continue to see

As she fly's alongside us

In all of our dreams

My Auntie, the Butterfly

Her favorite set of wings

How those memories I cherish

Will forever be with me

Losing someone close is never a good feeling as we all know. Being able to look at it in a positive light shows faith. I'm sure your antie is still around in a form you can't see.
