Jaded

Jaded

A Poem by solitare

my jagged jaded heart
floats sedated by salty tears
its density heavy
laden with cuts, bruises, piercing from a marchetti, barbed wire, burns.
predominantly an emerald aura emanates
flickering with pastel chakra colours
however large pools of empty darkness
sporadically infests its entirety.
it beats resiliently and unnervingly
still festering connection to another core.
too often i feel its putridness aching
desperate for saturation of an endorphin
so too readily my hand
reaches unsteadily
for an object which can offer
one or more pleasure to my senses
taste.
smell.
sound.
sight.
touch.
lust.
And still my numb heart doesn't feel
till the blood fully flows again....
only then ready for another
piercing, burn, scar
to add to the jaded collection.

Like especially the cleverly written end of the poem, with it`s hard hitting one line list of the senses.Good poem that has a lot to offer.

The mysteries of jade and the heart collide here.. I use to imagine Alabaster jars in Egypt hidden away that hold the souls of the ancients..and here I felt that same feel.. Like you were holding your heart in the Jade Jar... xx Nicely done...
