The Entrance

The Entrance

A Poem by solitare

i stand before the secret entrance
illuminating sacred light
beyond may hold unique wisdoms
all knowledge of the universe
i stand composed yet too afraid to enter
grandosity of magic beckons
yet am i welcome in this wonderland?
my doubts of fear and shame
prolongs my intense curiosity
so i await for a sign
from the still pureness glowing
i stand awestruck in the moment
then violently shudder
as a golden butterfly flies out
and perches on my shoulder
i take baby steps
till i finally enter the shining
almost triumphant until i see the sign
no trespassers
so i turn and go back
butterflyless
