The Maze

The Maze

A Poem by solitare

i ponder the endings
forgetting to see the path
too focused on the possible
finessful finale
straightforward i saunter
small shy steps
till i fall down dismally
yet somehow smirk succinctly
then with power and passion
i continue
successfully sobered
until I fall again
rising a little slower
a little less vigorously
i continue
finding dead ends and similar paths
yet seeking a new journey
i continue
forever falling
yet resiliantly rising
more sluggish each time
i continue
through confusing crossroads
which challenge my senses
as more dead ends emerge
in distressing disarray
i continue
anticipating and awaiting a light...

i needed this ,this morning, life can be a struggle but if we keep going and searching for the light at least we've tried and that in itself is a triumph
