CANCER

CANCER

A Poem by Carlie
"

I've been watching my grandfather, whom I am very close too, struggle with cancer for the second time in his life. I was very mad because of it when I wrote this poem.

"

Can’t you see what you are doing to him?

Arlie is his name, not that you care to know who you have hurt,

Now that you have invaded his body and taken every last bit of strength he has to fight.

Can’t you leave us be now?

Ever think of the people’s lives you are screwing with or care to

Respect the small amount of time we have left with him?

No, I didn’t think so. I hate you, CANCER!

I like this. I am so sorry about this situation though.....

I like how u show emotion here toward the cause of what's happening to him and not falling into the trap of blaming your grandfather or the doctors etc

I wasn't planning on this before I wrote the poem but halfway through it became an acrostic poem. I kind of like the effect it gives.
