AJG

AJG

A Poem by Carlie
"

Inspired by a friend, Anna Jeanne Grimm, AJG.

"

Behind those brown eyes

In a world her own

Is a gorgeous girl

Who I hope will always be

Proud to be none other than

The Original AJG

To be weird

Would be a compliment

Yes better than boring

That is her belief

No you will never find anyone quite like

The Original AJG

In a world where others are scared

To be anyone but themselves

They prefer to play it safe

Not to close their eyes and leap

There is another always living for the moment

The Original AJG

To some this is a world of black and white

Where I am often afraid to be me

And so many can’t find

Who they really want to be

However, one sees the world her way, in orange

The Original AJG

As for most people of this world

Who hope to remain in one single piece

A shark survival attack story

Would be the last thing they seek

Yet there is one who will continue to search out that crazy dream

The Original AJG

So while so many are loosing track

Taking the easy way out

Trading who they really are

For the person another wishes them to be

There will always be a girl unique, the one and only

The Original AJG

I love this salute to your friend, and I think I may even love your friend a little.
This could work as a song too if you were so inclined.
Nice work, Carlie.
