Who Should I Be?

Who Should I Be?

A Story by Rain Kissed Secret
"

Yes.. Who should I be?

"
Should I be a Pill Popper
So empty and disposable

Or should I be a Secret Agent
Cunning and posing to everyone but none

Shall I be a Lucky Winner?
Just waiting on the chance

Or maybe just a lowly Housewife,
Waiting for my husband to get me out of my pants.

I can not tell you now what I will be
Just simply what I wish

And what I wish to be is Free,
Alone in the world
Knowing of all that I need,

Our future is not what we should be
But who we choose to see

Isn't that the Mystery?
That's who I choose to be.

Everybody askes
Everybody wonders
Everybody walks
Everybody ponders
Where it is that we will be
When in truth, it's all the same tree
We look for fruit high on some branch
Yet we can find in at the store next to the ranch.

This poem was awesome! The last four lines jumped out at me and made me think that life is not about what will come with the world, but how we as the individual takes that world into us and makes it ours.
It matters not if we get the apple by climbing the tree or buying it at a supermarket. What matters is that the apple is what we wanted and we are able to get it.

Two Thumbs up!

Flows smoothly, and I like that in a poem. Wish I could achieve the ease with which I read it in a poem I wrote... haha, in other words, "good job"

Nice,
really liked the flow of this. great rhyme

i didnt quite understand what you meant of this: "Our future is not what we should be, But who we choose to see" it didnt seem to make sense with everything else. (more emphasis on "but who we choose to see")

overall, nice job
