For the Moon

For the Moon

A Poem by Amanda_writer

The moon lights the way
Where the sun has failed
Shinning bright on a path neglected
Closer to the star
Charged and charged to carry us through
Through the torturing and tortuous night

Cool and friendly
It doesn’t scare away the cold
Doesn’t scowl at the breeze
Hypnotizing even the ogre
 It stands by the weary
Seducing all
Sublime!

Unleashing the monster
Its paths are shrouded in danger
Keeping even the adults in their holes
The children in their mothers arm
The battlefield of the mystical
Scowling at the innocent
Not safe for walk

love it very deep. It took me a third time reading to fully understand it but it was very enjoyable
