May Miracles Happen

How far can the imagination of a little girl go?

A little girl with a wide imagination

Often caught exploding with excitement

Hardly a moment she would just sit with boredom

For her head will already be filled with her own creations!

Too many a time she would just stop and ask

Will I ever be that fairy queen, hardly a task?

"I want to be able to fly up so high"

Sprinkle fairy dust across the sky.

As time passed

The girl too was little no more

Her imagination sometimes hardly used.

She goes through life like any other girl

Having to believe that life is no - dab of chocolate swirl

But somehow she knows

Always in her heart

Miracles do happen.

"And let's just wait for this one to start."

A beautiful poem. It is sad when our children must learn the truth. World is cold and hard. Would be a better world if we could believe all people are good. Life is filled with happiness and great dreams. I like the complete poem. A underlining of a wish for a better world for our children. A outstanding poem.

This was so bittersweet.. I felt that wonder of imagination (can still feel what it was like as a child)... and then how it fades as years wear on the heart and mind... So glad for the hope you leave us with.. yes.. miracles do happen.
