I Remember

Dedicated to my friend whom I lost to Suicide

I remember when you were alive

You made me laugh when I cried

You were always there

My friend

You always cared

 

But then . . . .

 

You died I cried so much

I just didn't understand

Why you had to run away

You shouldn't of died this way

 

You pulled the trigger

A bullet to the head

Blood on the floor

Such a mess you made

And left us here to clean it up

 

Why did you have to go?

I wish you were in a better place

But everyone knows where suicides go

and is it not written?

 

"thou shalt not kill"?

I'll always miss you my friend

Till the very end of my days

and I want you to know

That I forgive you for the murder you've commited upon yourself
