My Backwards World

My Backwards World

A Poem by Sage Kallen
"

This is a story about a mirror because sometimes int the world we can feel a little like a reflection. We sometimes feel we only show what others want of us.

"

My Backwards World

In a whisper of the calling wind is my name.

In the depths of the mind is my frame,

I am lost in time, my life is a flame.

I see you, but you have yet to see me.

I cry to you, yet you do not hear this scream.

am I a lie, or is this reality?

My life is faint, you are my fatality.

This is my nightmare, not some daydream.

I’m here to stay, in this eternal stream.

As I flow away, while you pass me by.

Will you come back in the summertime?

You are my, hope my reason for living,

for without you, this life is a pity.

It’s lonely here in this reflective world,

but after all, I guess this is my backward's world.
