Save your breathA Poem by C.C. Marxsick of lies and betrayalMy trust You took it Abused it Shattered it Stomped on it Until it was no more.
How could I have known That you Would only betray me I told you everything Things I Couldn’t tell another.
Your lies Were so obvious I should’ve seen this coming But I was blinded By the friendship I thought we had.
How can you look me in the eyes? Does your word mean nothing? All the promises you made Were they worthless from the start? Lie after lie after lie When will you stop?
Save your breath You’ll never give me the truth. © 2012 C.C. MarxAuthor's Note
