Hold your tongueA Poem by C.C. Marxgot to learn sometime, though I think I will never learn. Based off a conversation I had with my dad after an arguementHush darling, hold your tongue, Choke back those evil words Those childish, soon-be-regretted words Remember your control Don’t give in to the emotion Anger is an ugly creature Goading you to lash out.
Don’t give in my darling, Swallow your immature remarks Hold in the insults out of vain Forgive those who wronged you Let go of that hideous emotion Don’t be consumed by him Fight the urge to surrender.
Remember darling, Anger feeds off your pain He benefits no one. © 2012 C.C. MarxAuthor's Note
