Her GamesA Poem by C.C. MarxA girl who I've known forever and has recently decided to be the shadow of another girl. I always take the risks and she makes sure to reap the benefits. You complain about her Yet you are glued to her side You’d ditch me in a heart-beat Without a single reason why. I’ve known you since forever She’s never cared I took you under my wing When you were lonely and scared. I braved the hard roads And you followed suit You eased yourself with my friends But in the end you ditched them too. Your never ending social climb But you’re stuck on the same rung of the ladder You try so hard and kiss a*s like a pro But in the end it doesn’t matter. Dearest ex-follower I don’t know where this will end But when she drops you hard I won’t be there to lend a hand. © 2012 C.C. MarxAuthor's Note
