Dear Uncle

Dear Uncle

A Poem by C.C. Marx
"

to my uncle, and his long road back to recovery. I have faith in you, be strong

"
25 was a milestone
One I was unsure you would make.
Life's been rough the past few days
With a couple big reveals,
A few small lies,
And now that I know,
I can't say I'm surprised.

You've been gone a few months
And days pass where you don't cross my mind.
But when I hear of someone
About to make your mistake,
I pray to myself,
The won't share your same fate.

You've got a hard road ahead
One you cannot tread lightly.
You will have my love
And my support,
My prayers,
But remember,
We won't always be there.
