Dreams of a better New Year

Put your ear upon the ground
Hear the magic as it tells
A tale true of what could be
Our earth in blissful harmony
Creator’s dust within your grip
Smell the glory of this day
Passion - Beauty all abound
Dream of days that can’t be found
Peace our mission, love our hope
Hidden in the hearts of man
But tragic days engulf our plans
Guns and missiles in our hands
New years day as it unfolds
Along the river’s bank we pray
Message true upon our ears
Love your neighbor, seize the day

This is beautifully written. It flows so fluidly. Superb write!
A very moralistic piece. I like the way you show the harmony contrasting the underlying destruction caused by war. And how you round it off beautifully with a message to everyone in the last few lines.
If only more people felt like yourself, we would all live in a far greater world!
