Christmas In SunriverA Poem by Scott SAs the spirit of Christmas is among us, I wanted to take a shot at my first Christmas poem. Thanks for checking it out. By the way......the "Sunriver" that I write of, is located in Central Oregon.
Christmas in Sunriver
Snow and crystal in the air Bulbs and wreaths and candles My baby in my prayers Along the glistened trails We stroll without a word The crunch of ice beneath our feet Is the only sound that's heard Jesus on a steeple The face of the Blessed One And the green eyes of my angel That sparkle like the sun Powder on her lashes Silent as it lands Hearts and fingers intertwined In mitten covered hands Along the path, a manger In the yard of someone's home A baby boy and mother His blessings will be known Frosty snowmen dot the path Holy Spirit in the mist The warm lips of my baby Is my only Christmas list Among the falling snowflakes In the trees above our heads A snowy owl is nesting With babies in their beds My lover hugs me softly And my heart begins to pound Christmas in Sunriver A treasure to be found
