4 AMA Poem by Scott SBeing a very early riser, I wanted to do a piece that paid tribute to a time of day, that for some is golden. Other early birds will probably know what I mean.
Black velvet satin
Embracing cool summer air Step outside; breathe it in Feel the fog dampen your hair Owl in the tree top She watches with a wink Crystal silence in my brain The dripping of the sink Lush violins and java Smell delicious in my ears Bows and strings and Keurig No worries; no fears A barking in the distance Canine with attitude He speaks his mind in darkness When the day is new Ticking of the antique clock A whisper from a moth 4 AM; a day anew Wrapped in silken cloth © 2013 Scott SAuthor's Note
