Phoenix

Arisen from the ashes, that can sometimes be part of life.

Once down and out

Not so long ago

Ashes in a pile

Nowhere to go

Struggles, despair

Time moves along

Like ancient lyrics

Of an old love song

But new days await

As I take a fresh breath

A phoenix arisen

From a fast brewing death

Rainbows and magic

Affix to my name

A newborn inning

In life's marvelous game

Thanks very much. It's funny.....when I started writing this poem, I suddenly realized just how down in the dumps I had been.
