Mother's DayA Poem by Lisa J "The Rose"A poem about Moms.Mother's Day
My mom was a strong woman, smart and everlasting. She taught me many things, but most of all, how to love someone so much like me. She was always there, tending to me, like a garden, with care. She was beautiful, the most beautiful of all women. She was faulted, but still so perfect to me. She was dependable like the blue sea. She was funny, and tricky sometimes, but through good times and bad, she stuck it all out, with me. I wish she were here to still love me. Now, I must depend on the memories alive in mind, and in my heart, loving her was like life's best part. She was truly the inspiration of my life, my strength and will, the knowlede, the love, is never to be measured or judged. She did everything she could to give me the life; she said I deserved. I love and miss you- Mommie!!
I am now a Mommie...the best job ever. The most rewarding of all things, is being a mother. There are all kinds of "moms'. All are special and always needed. I love my kids so much, more than I could ever love myself. I love them unconditionally, as my mom loved me. Even when tears flow, and I am short of patience, and they are very mad, even when one might make me a little sad. I love them through their shortcomings, and through all their goodness and love, and I know God sent them to me, as a gift from up above. Thanks Mommie for all you have taught me, and thank you GOD, for blessing me with children. 2008 Lisa Jones © 2008 Lisa J "The Rose"Author's Note
