Liquid Life

Liquid Life

A Poem by snoochee_boochee

An ocean of clouds

With tidal waves of wind

“It can only mean one thing” he thought

A storms coming in

Everything slowed down

As the world turned into an underwater dream

And the current moved the trees

Like a slow motion machine

Thunder started

And it was as loud as the crashing waves

All the animals darted in their holes

Like how the sea anemone behaves

The wind grew fierce

And like a rip tide started to suck me in

Drop by drop

The whole place was flooding

Swirls of water and earth

Painting a disaster scene

Conducting an orchestra

Using the elements as a team

Roars not of the tiger

Hissing not of the snake

Thunder and wind take new disguises

The environment they did take

The finale is approaching

The water as big and strong as a wall

Opens its arms

And embraces us all
