Nuts

Nuts

A Chapter by Snits

I am a puzzle that just doesn’t fit.

I am nuts in a slab of pure chocolate.

So you hurt me for what is not my fate.

I’m confined to the chair in which I sit.

The wrapper that keeps me enclosed in it.

And you, who doesn’t help release the weight.

All you do is blame and discriminate.

Why can’t you look within the cherries pit.

And beyond the nuts that enthralls me deep.

You look at my wrapper but can you see?

That I am only sweet chocolate like you.

I’m no different, just my ridges are steep.

Or must you not let me live happily?

But my heart will fight so I can live too.

About
I walk as a lonely shadow among the hustle of the city street. Amidst the shoes and wheels I sway. My dark outline follows the thousands of footsteps etched into the road. Leaving a story with.. more..
