Truffle

Truffle

A Chapter by Snits

You discriminate and I am sweeter.

You make me act of only what I am not.

I’m a truffle or so I may be taught.

I believe what I am but you counter.

You outcast me in this tablet farther.

I’m a truffle in this sweet melting pot,

but how you stare puts my stomach in knots.

Is love for one of my own so bitter.

I love my own as so my heart will tell,

and though I may be different from your love,

I’m a truffle in this slab of opposite.

You fight for what I should be, I rebel.

You may put me down but I stand above.

For I am a puzzle that shouldn’t fit

About
I walk as a lonely shadow among the hustle of the city street. Amidst the shoes and wheels I sway. My dark outline follows the thousands of footsteps etched into the road. Leaving a story with.. more..
